Like the adage goes, the eyes are the windows to the soul, and because of that, in any portrait, it's always a good idea to make sure you get the eyes in focus and staring at you. Of course, this isn't a hard and fast rule, but one that most photographers should live by, if you ask me. 

Originally, I had posted a photo of my friend Ogy on my FB page with the one here as a follow up. This photo was taken during the same session as the other one, using only a big, diffused window in a stairwell down from the dance studio we take classes at. I'm posting it to reiterate the importance of the eyes. Like they say, the "eyes have it!". (I know, it's "I's" have it, but hey, why not some pre-weekend humor?)

Got a busy weekend ahead of me, culminating with the East West Players annual Gala Monday night which I'm photographing once again. Great times! Enjoy everyone, and please check back, or leave a comment :)
