Happy Tuesday (or Wednesday) everyone! Sadly, I caught a pretty bad cough bug that had me out of commission for the past few days, but I'm happy to report that I'm on my way to a full recovery (is there any other alternative? I think NOT!). I think what pushed me over the edge into the land of cough syrups and advil was this great set of performance gigs I did this past Saturday, one was a children's show showcasing Japanese fairy tales, and the other was for the JACCC Autumn Festival. Back-to-back gigs complete with choreography and singing kinda did me in, hence the bad cough. :(

The kids show was great! Performing in front of about 100 kids of various ages bringing to life the fairy tales they know and love was definitely heart warming. It's so inspiring to see and hear a room full of kids sing and sometimes even say the lines you're saying with such vigor and glee! Great times indeed. On the other front, to perform in front of 400+ adults to the tune of the "Sound of Music" also gets that live stage adrenalin pumpin'! Can't beat it.

What I love about being a mixed media artist is that it totally feeds into my photography and creativity as a whole. I like to use all the experiences and funnel them through the artistry I'm trying to develop and create, which I know will take an entire lifetime, but the process sure is cool :) Below are some of the prep photos of the 2nd show we did right before I spent all my energy and came down with this tough cough. Oh well. It was worth it.

Now that we're coming into October, it's really time to start thinking about those holiday cards. Are you going to use that snapshot that someone got of you this year of you and your fam/sig-other? Or perhaps something a little more custom created, just for you? Hmmm.... choices, choices, choices... If it's the latter, check out my earlier blog entries for my holiday specials. Slots are starting to fill up, so act now :)

On to the photos!

The children's show was held at a Buddhist Temple, hence this great statue, and greenery.

Thanks for playing!

I just love everything going on in this photo. Our cast minus Marc (previous photo) and of course me, behind the camera.

I love what you can sometimes find in open doors.

Or through glass doors.

That's it for this week everyone. Fall is finally upon us. The weather is still a little hot here, but I'm sure in the next few days, it'll start feeling like fall. Till next time, enjoy your week, and as always, thanks for stopping by :)
