Welcome to the M Palma Photo Blog

Hi, my name is Mike, a professional wedding and portrait photographer born, raised, and based here in beautiful, Silverlake, Los Angeles, California.

On this blog, you'll find the daily inspirations, images and musings of my life.

I love photographing people, places, and anything else that catches my eye. I describe my style of photography as modern, fun, and energetic. So stay a while, check out my work, and get to know me better through my images and entries.

If you'd like to visit my main wedding and portrait site, click on this link, or click on the "connect" button up top to drop me a line via e-mail.

Like I said, stay awhile, and enjoy the entries. And please, do leave a comment. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter (via the icons above this paragraph) for even more up-to-date happenings (don't worry, I won't put up meager posts like "I'm standing in line at Starbucks" (my favorite coffee spot!). Only the really cool and important stuff!)

Thanks for stopping by!

November 7, 2013 in Engagements

Hi everyone! I’m back! Well, I’ve been back, but after getting back from Hawaii, I had a few gigs to tend to, and then I got sick :( Be sure to wash your hands often! Now that I’m back to 100% health, I’m happy to be posting up this new entry of one of my recent engagement sessions.

Jill and Aaron are my latest wedding clients, with their wedding happening in early January. I originally met Aaron in a class he was teaching for the improv group I belong to (Cold Tofu). He’s a super talented guy with incredible wit, and just plain cool! When I found out that that he was getting married, I got to meet his lovely and equally cool fiance Jill, and from that point on, I knew that photographing their wedding would have to be a blast! Cause these two definitely are!!!

They chose the Giffith Park outdoor train museum as the backdrop for this shoot, and quite frankly it was loads of fun photographing this really sweet couple :) What I love most about them is their willingness to laugh, play, be silly, and just have a great time РAND do that in the middle of their engagement shoot.

I couldn’t be more happy to be photographing their wedding. These guys are just so fun and easy to work with. Plus, as noted, they were willing to try anything!

Can’t tell you enough how great a time I had with these two, and can’t thank them enough for letting me be their ¬†photographer for their big day! So here are our results, complete with funny faces, sweet moments, and an homage to the “damsel in distress tied to the railroad tracks” old movie scene. Thanks again guys!
